The Memorial Day 5k (or previously known as the Telford Financial Memorial Day 5k and Half Marathon) was one of Ashlee and my very first races we ever ran. It was about a week after we found out our names had been drawn for the St. George Marathon in 2005. It was official, we needed to start training. I ran the Half Marathon in 2006 and Ashlee did the 5k again (while she was 6 months pregnant.) Both of those years it was held at the Barnes Park in Kaysville. Then Ashlee ran it again in 2007 and we both ran it in 2008. From 2007 on, they switched the race to the Jensen Nature Park in Syracuse. (Kaysville's road was still under construction.) The most recent race in 2008 it was pouring rain the whole time. That was the first time we've ever run in the rain!
